From Midterms to Vacations: Off to Guilin!

The past few weeks I have been thoroughly preparing for my Chinese midterm.  We have already learned an entire text book so I was reviewing everyday for hours (hence me lacking on this blog).  However, all my studying paid off and I found out today that I received a 95% on my midterm.  Hours after my midterm, I jumped on a plane and went to Guilin for our long weekend.

Guilin is considered one of the most beautiful places in China and boy am I glad I visited!

The city is very small but fixed in between all the beautiful green mountains.  It was hot, humid, and gorgeous!

I went with 3 other classmates and together we hiked, went into caves, and explored every inch of the city!

Since the city is so small we were able to explore every “tourist trap” there was and more!  Above is the Sun and Moon pagoda.  Luckily, we visited it at dusk so we saw the before and after!

Guilin is most famous for its terraced rice fields.  This was an all day adventure and requires it’s very own blog post because of how awesome it was!
