Finally!  Orientation has started and I get to talk with lots of people again.  Those 3 weeks by myself in Beijing and Guangzhou were a wonderful adventure but I’m ready to get the semester started! 

We have a total of 12 very different people in the Xi’an program which makes it quite exciting.  Some have traveled all over the world, some are leaving the U.S. for the first time, some have been learning Chinese for 3+ years, while others can only say nihao! 

We spent only two days in Beijing before setting off on a 12 hour night train to Xi’an.  I love trains so I had a wonderful time- although I slept for most of the trip! 

Xi’an will be full of adventure and fun!  I’m sure these next four months will fly by!
