My Dad and I woke up at 5am to catch the 8am bullet train from Shanghai to Beijing. Before we knew it the train was moving smoothy and glided to a whooping 300 km/h (180mph)!
Since it is close to Chinese New Year, the train station was packed! When Chinese people return to their hometowns for the New Year is considered the largest human migration on earth. It was fun to be a part of it this year!
In just under 6 hours we made it to Beijing and my part of town called WuDaoKou. I gave the grand tour to my Dad of my university campus. Afterward, we checked into the hotel across the street and fell asleep. It had been a long day.
