Yesterday, my friend Erica and I visited Peking University.\u00a0 Peking University is the best school in the country.\u00a0 It is China’s Harvard and Yale.\u00a0 It also has a beautifully, huge campus!<\/p>\n

Since we were meandering around, Erica and I had no idea what we were looking at.\u00a0 This ended up being the most impressive building on campus.\u00a0 Maybe its the president’s building or the dean’s office? Or its admissions or an academic building? Who knows! Not me!<\/p>\n

I do know that everyone in China rides bicycles! There are more bike parking lots than car parking lots.<\/p>\n

How anyone finds their bike is beyond me! I think I would put a big orange flag on my bike so I could spot it easily.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The rest of our exploring involved us finding 3 of Peking’s beautiful ponds.\u00a0 Unfortunately, once we found them it was past dark so I can’t share any pictures.\u00a0 It was serene so I’m going to go back to visit in the morning when I have more daylight.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As it was getting late, Erica and I decided to walk back to our university.\u00a0 However, we couldn’t figure out how to exit! Most universities in China are surrounded by large walls with 4 main gates (north, south, east, and west).\u00a0 We could not find the right exit to save our life.\u00a0 Every time I thought I found it, I would be hit by another brick wall. After many failed attempts, we finally found the right exit and proceeded to walk the 30 minutes back to BLCU.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Maybe I will visit Peking University again this weekend to see it more in the daylight.\u00a0 However, I am can now refer to myself as an expert in their exit locations!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
