{"id":2550,"date":"2014-03-22T10:35:53","date_gmt":"2014-03-22T10:35:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/setcourseforchina.wordpress.com\/?p=2550"},"modified":"2014-03-22T10:35:53","modified_gmt":"2014-03-22T10:35:53","slug":"calligraphy-and-puppies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/?p=2550","title":{"rendered":"Calligraphy and Puppies!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This afternoon, my friend (from Temple University) Justine and I decided to go to\u00a0\u4e66\u9662\u95e8 (Shu Yuan Men) which is a famous Calligraphy Street in Xi&#8217;an.\u00a0 There were shops after shops selling calligraphy brushes and paper.\u00a0 Although I didn&#8217;t want to buy any, we had a totally blast checking out all the artsy stalls.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2920.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2553\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2920.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We then stumbled upon an area filled with little pet shops.\u00a0 Justine and I got overwhelmed but the adorable Chinese puppies!\u00a0 We played with them all!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2925.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2556\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2925.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2928.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2559\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2928.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The bunnies were so fluffy and warm!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2941.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2562\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2941.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Plus all the kittens!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2929.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2565\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2929.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Justine and I were so ecstatic to stumble upon all these adorable animals during our adventure.\u00a0 Once we pulled ourselves away from all the cuteness we walked around a busy shopping center.\u00a0 It was filled with mostly Chinese brands and a Walmart!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2946.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2569\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2946.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One thing you won&#8217;t find in an American Walmart is barrels of rice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2947.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2573\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2947.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although I thought the Chinese Walmart would be busy, it was relatively empty.\u00a0 It had mostly Chinese products but the prices were a bit expensive.\u00a0 Justine and I were expecting a bustling feel when we entered but it was mostly a lot of workers trying to make themselves look busy.<\/p>\n<p>Overall I\u2019d consider our adventure a success with all the calligraphy and cute Chinese pets!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This afternoon, my friend (from Temple University) Justine and I decided to go to\u00a0\u4e66\u9662\u95e8 (Shu Yuan Men) which is a famous Calligraphy Street in Xi&#8217;an.\u00a0 There were shops after shops selling calligraphy brushes and paper.\u00a0 Although I didn&#8217;t want to buy any, we had a totally blast checking out all the artsy stalls.
