{"id":2463,"date":"2014-03-05T13:36:24","date_gmt":"2014-03-05T13:36:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/setcourseforchina.wordpress.com\/?p=2463"},"modified":"2014-03-05T13:36:24","modified_gmt":"2014-03-05T13:36:24","slug":"the-830pm-fountain-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/?p=2463","title":{"rendered":"The 8:30pm Fountain Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2766.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2465\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2766.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>8:30pm every night near the Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi&#8217;an City is the fountain show.\u00a0 It lasts about 30 minutes and the fountain is coordinated to classical Chinese music.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve already seen it twice and I absolute love it.\u00a0 I become so relaxed just watching the intricate water show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Plus, I&#8217;ve met some really nice people while waiting for the show to start.\u00a0 Just last weekend I met a group of old Tibetan men who were in Xi&#8217;an to buy cars.\u00a0 Apparently, it is cheaper to buy cars in Xi&#8217;an then where they live.\u00a0 I also met a family who burst out giggling every time I said something in Chinese because they thought it was cute!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2807.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2475\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2807.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I enjoy going to this area because I can not only see the Fountain Show but I can also see the Wild Goose Pagoda at night.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/03\/dscf2788.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2479\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2788.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Wild Goose Pagoda was built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty.\u00a0 It originally had 5 stories, but was rebuilt to have 7.\u00a0 Xuan Zang was a traveling monk who brought Buddhist figures from India to this pagoda to be held.
