{"id":2304,"date":"2014-02-08T11:00:35","date_gmt":"2014-02-08T11:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/setcourseforchina.wordpress.com\/?p=2304"},"modified":"2014-02-08T11:00:35","modified_gmt":"2014-02-08T11:00:35","slug":"i-climbed-bai-yun-mountain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/?p=2304","title":{"rendered":"I climbed Bai Yun Mountain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bai Yun Mountain, or White Cloud Mountain, is the most accessible hiking area in the city of Guangzhou.\u00a0 I read that when you summit, the view will always be different because of the changing weather.\u00a0 I had an absolute blast walking around and on top of the mountain for hours!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/02\/dscf2432.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2298\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2432.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It says \u767d\u4e91\u5c71\u6b22\u8fce\u4f60 (Bai Yun Shan huanying ni), or Bai Yun Mountain welcomes you!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/02\/dscf2416.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2299\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2416.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were lots of people at the park today.\u00a0 Some climbed up while others rode the cable car.\u00a0 (I think the cable car is cheating but to each their own.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/02\/dscf2413.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2300\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2413.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I climbed all around that mountain-spent hours just enjoying the nice view.\u00a0 However, I wanted to reach the summit.\u00a0 Apparently, the section I was in required me to take the never ending stairs path.\u00a0 Zac- it reminded me of the exorcism stairs!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/02\/dscf2447.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2301\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2447.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I made it to the summit though!\u00a0 And in case you were wondering that is legitimately fog, not smog.\u00a0 Guangzhou has excellent air quality!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/02\/img_0405.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2302\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/img_0405.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I really enjoy hiking.\u00a0 It&#8217;s nice to walk with strangers, then pick up the pace and have the whole path to yourself.\u00a0 It was a little rainy when I reached the summit but I got to see the entire city.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve done a lot of hiking but I think it&#8217;s magical when you walk for hours up a mountain only to reach the top and see the city waiting for you below.\u00a0 The way Guangzhou is designed around the mountains and river delta is quite a site to see. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/2014\/02\/dscf2423.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image\" id=\"i-2303\" alt=\"Image\" src=\"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/dscf2423.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bai Yun Mountain, or White Cloud Mountain, is the most accessible hiking area in the city of Guangzhou.\u00a0 I read that when you summit, the view will always be different because of the changing weather.\u00a0 I had an absolute blast walking around and on top of the mountain for hours!
