{"id":2235,"date":"2014-02-06T14:50:31","date_gmt":"2014-02-06T14:50:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/setcourseforchina.wordpress.com\/?p=2235"},"modified":"2014-02-06T14:50:31","modified_gmt":"2014-02-06T14:50:31","slug":"last-days-in-beijing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/evacohnchina.summitbiztech.com\/?p=2235","title":{"rendered":"Last Days in Beijing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The blog has been a little bit quiet since I\u2019ve been in Beijing.\u00a0 I\u2019ve seen all there is to see and I\u2019ve done all there is to do.\u00a0 On my last day here before leaving for Guangzhou, I tried Malatang.\u00a0 Malatang is just three different ways of saying spicy: hot, numbing, burning.\u00a0 Don\u2019t worry though, you can get malatang to a manageable level of spiciness.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Imagine this.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You enter a restaurant.\u00a0 One wall is completely covered with raw vegetables and meat.\u00a0 Fresh greens.\u00a0 Copious amounts of meat and dozens of different types of noodles.\u00a0 You pick whatever you want.\u00a0 Stick it all in a big metal bowl. Weigh the bowl at the cash register. (Usually cost about $2 USD). Wait for the chef to cook all your hand picked ingredients and viola!
